WEBSITE DESIGN FOR THE WILDCAT DIGITAL HISTORY PROJECT

My project was the design of the website that is the foundation of the Wildcat DH project. My project page will function as an exemplar for students as they begin to assemble their projects and move them onto the website, as my actual project’s “product” is just the site as a whole.

HATE CULTURE: SINOPHOBIA DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

A collection of social media sources with images and texts that show the possible oil and matchstick (claims that blame China for the pandemic, alienation of Chinese people, etc.) that produce the fire (videos of unprovoked attacks on "Chinese" people, animosity and sinophobic sentiment, "I am not a virus" masks, etc.).

SITUATIONAL PREJUDICE DURING COVID-19, A GALLERY

A collection of screenshots of tweets and articles composing a gallery. The sources will focus on displaying instances of hate speech stirred up by the situation Covid-19 has caused.

~GENUINE PANDEMIC VIBES~

This project is a small sample of reflections written by high school students that address their personal and various concerns, feelings, and situations. These reflections also joined by news articles or other sources that provide context for how their unique experiences 'fit in' with the general population's experience.

My project is an archive and analysis of sources that local, state and federal governments have released about the corona virus. I analyzed the sources and talking about if they are distributing misinformation or misinterpretations during the time. I also state if said information effected people positively or negatively.
