"Nobody has done anything like we’ve been able to do. And everything I took over was a mess. It was a broken country in so many ways. In so many ways other than this. We had a bad testing system. We had a bad stockpile system. We had nothing in the stockpile system."

Dismissal

Testing has changed in that time just as the medical system has, making testing still not where it needs to be to properly diagnose the full amount of people with COVID-19. There is an extreme lack of tests and personal protective equipment (PPE). The lack in both causes the jobs of doctors, nurses, and other medical staff to be much more dangerous than it usually is. It is also more dangerous to the non coronavirus patients because they may be exposed to the virus off PPE and medical surfaces. The stockpile would have at least put a dent into the equipment needed by supplying basic medical supplies, ventilators, and PPE among other things needed to keep the hospitals from being unnecessarily dangerous.
